Osaka Japan is the perfect expat adventure that is only a flight away. Osaka is located in the Kansai region of Japans main island of Honshu at the mouth of the Yodo River on Osaka Bay. It is completely surrounded by ten smaller cities in the Osaka Prefecture established in 1892 and divided into two main areas, where the north is referred to Kita and the south Minami. Let us feel the pulse of the third largest city in Japan which used to be the trading center for rice and creating first modern futures exchange.
I usually book my hotel in Osaka Japan and take day trips to Kyoto and Nara. The different seasons makes Osaka a unique place to visit. A Japan Travel, gives you four humid seasons with a beautiful spring and fall where plants and flowers come alive with so many vibrant colors. Make sure to take in some shopping, and entertainment while there. Transportation makes Osaka very convenient place to visit with its international airport plus easily accessible by train, subway and taxis. A good tip is to stop off at a visitor’s information booth at the airport or train station for more information on the city plus train schedules. What activities are there to do in Osaka Japan we ask ourselves.

Hi Stephanie!
Thank you for sharing your experiences, I want to know if you may have information about Tokyo? We live in Gohyeon and we are thinking to go there at the end of April.
How many hours is the fly to Osaka and which Airline have you taken?
Regards,
Diana Novoa
Hi Diana,
Glad you like my Blog and I hope my experiences and travel tips come in handy. No, I have not been to Tokyo yet. I really like Osaka and Kyoto, Japan so my travels take me there. Flight hours from Busan (PUS) to Osaka (KIX) one way is 1 hr 25 minutes. I have used both Korean Air and Asiana Airlines to fly there. I find it easy to book my tickets online at cheapOair. com to get the best prices. I am looking forward to my next travel adventure to Kyoto, Japan at the end of this month. Enjoy your travels in April, and you will just love all the flowers in bloom.
Stephanie 🙂
Dear Stephanie,
I’m currently in Gohyeon for a month, came to visit a husband and we have a plan to visit Japan next week.
Could you recommend some hotel there? We will probably go for a night, fly there in Saturday morning and fly back next night..
Those tips of yours are quite helpfull for ideas which places to visit, but for more details we can get info at the Airport station, am I right?
Best regards,
Anivija
Hi Anivija,
I like to stay at the Intercontinental Hotel Osaka while i’m there. [3-60, Ofuka-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka 5300011]. Nice western style hotel which means nicer accomodations and larger size rooms plus it is located next to the train station.
There is an airport bus that leaves the Osaka Airport (KIX, the airport identifer) and takes you close to the hotel. It doesn’t go straight to the hotel but will get you within a few close blocks. Easy walking distance.
When you arrive at the Osaka Airport (KIX) and go out into the airport lobby, there is an information desk with some very nice people that speak english. You can pick up a brochure, travel ideas and she can help direct you to the shuttle bus to your hotel.
If you have the time I highly recommend going to Kyoto for the day. There are fast trains that can take you there within an hour. Very beautiful temples to see there. “tripadvisor” is another great place on the internet to visit for additional information on Osaka. All you need to do is type in www.(tripadvisor) .com. Without the brackets and space.
I also post alot of reviews on Trip Advisor from my adventures.
If you need anymore information please let me know. Thanks.
