Avoid the ever Exploding Suitcase. Yup, that’s my suitcase this trip. Packing light and organization is key to making your travel so much easier. This Expat Traveler should have taken my own advice this trip but didn’t. Nothing worse than constantly having to open all my space bags and go through all my clothes. I can’t seem to find anything. What makes it worse is multiply destinations with different climates.
Travel clothes I find are a must to own. Incorporate them into your wardrobe since they make travel packing that much easier. Travel clothes can be washed in the evening and are dry by morning. They could lighten up your suitcase at least by 10 lbs. Okay, yes they make a swishing sound when you walk but a shirt here and shorts/pants/skirt there, and its all good.
Exploding Suitcase with quick and easy tips for packing.
It’s all about the space bags. For a more Ecco friendly way to travel individual Open Weave Travel Organizers will work.
1. Space bags or Individual Travel Organizers. A necessity to keep your clothes organized and separated.
2. Separate lingerie, socks, & sleep ware from everyday clothes.
3. Separate everyday clothes according to location.
4. Separate evening clothes.
5. Place toiletries in their own bag. Not loose like my husband…other wise they fall out the suitcase every time you open it up.
Space bags or travel bags are worth the cost. Space bags may only last a few trips but I wouldn’t travel without them and Travel Organizers last longer and cost more. This trip my space bags are way over packed and I have the Exploding Suitcase. To close my suitcase I must sit on it while my husband zips it up. I should have taken all my clothes I wanted to bring, then cut that amount by half , then cut the amount in half again.
If you follow my ideas on packing light you will have more room for souvenirs. This trip it looks like my husband will be carrying all my purchases so off I go shopping.
