hotel review: Hotel Sofitel Metropole Hanoi |
Hotel Sofitel Metropole Hanoi is a gem of a luxury hotel in Vietnam. Located near the Old Quarter which makes it a close proximity for an adventure into the Quarter.
This gem of a hotel is very clean and the rooms were beautifully decorated with soft and dreamy beds. I was introduced to the Hotel Sofitel Metropole Hanoi as part of my Magnificent Mekong Tour with Viking River Cruises.
The staff at the Hotel Sofitel Metropole Hanoi were very accommodating and efficient from the moment I stepped through the door. Consequently the staff privately show the room to see if it was acceptable. Finally here is a view of what is available at this luxurious hotel.

My Favorites
First make sure to ask for a tour around the hotel to hear the history of this lavish place. In addition take a swim in the outside pool, a massage at the spa or just walk on over for a drink in the lounge. Also the buffet breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. Finally lets see what’s also available.

Sounds great, just the sort of place me and Phil love! currently looking for ideas to stay in Hanoi, so thanks for this!
Hi Garth,
You and Phil would love The Hotel Sofitel Metropole Hanoi. A great place to relax after a day of sight seeing and taking pictures. See my other posts on Cambodia and Vietnam for ideas. I included some side trips from Hanoi to the Halong Bay where we rented a private boat on Halong Bay for a few days which was fun & then to the Island of Phu Quat. Staying at the Sofitel with its pool, spa, restaurants, bar and comfy beds was a treat. I would definitely go back.
Happy Travels!

It looks so quaint and cozy. A nice treat I’m sure
Hi Lisa,
Yes The Hotel Sofitel Metropole Hanoi is a beautiful place to stay with all the amenities and was a nice treat. I would definitely go back. There of course are budget hotels in the Old Quarter but nothing like here which is great for a comfort meal or drink.
Happy Travels!
