Sedona, Arizona a weekend trip to the “Red Rock Country” is an exciting adventure. This “Geological Wonderland” is the perfect playground for fun. There are plenty of activities to do so lets get started.

Sedona is surrounded by 1.8 million acres of National Forest Land which provides visitors instant access to recreational activities. When you arrive in Seodona you see the amazing pinnacles, butes, spires and domes that provide a backdrop of color at sunset and sunrise.

Check out the trails for hiking. biking and jeep driving, all next to the convenience of a resort. Sedona is regarded by Native Americans as sacred and provides to some a sense of healing and spiritual renewal. One may experience healing and spiritual renewal at a spa, yoga retreat or on a hike.

Make sure to visit the 40 plus Art Galleries that line the streets or relax and visit one of the many Spas and enjoy a soothing treatment.
With all that activity its now time to find one of the many Restaurants in town or a wine tasting room.
Stay in one of the wide range of Hotels & Resorts in Sedona. Where you can just kick back and see the back drop of some of the most beautiful red rock monoliths in the United States.

Sedona is also “Spiritual Mecca”. Many spiritual healers are drawn here. This is the perfect place for spiritual and personal enrichment of the body. Take in a visit to a spa, yoga studio, or a retreat. Visit one of the vortex sites for meditation or just personal reflection.

Spring is one of the busiest times of the year with its cool nights and bright sunshine during the day. See the many blooms with the red rocks in the background and a bright blue sky.
Sedona boasts a “Celebration in Spring” thats an egg hunt. “Sedona Open Studios” a chance to visit with the artists. Then there is “Cinco De Mayo” a colorful fiesta.

I am looking forward to my return visit. Sedona is a great place to take my parents who enjoy just looking at the beautiful red rock monoliths while I take in the hiking. Remember to leave only footprints.
